Welcome to the Oslo region! Oslo welcome center is a initiative from Oslo International House supported by the Oslo Region alliance, which consists of the City of Oslo, Viken county, Innlandet county and 67 municipalites in the greater Oslo Region. It is our job to welcome you here. We’d like to assist your move to Norway. And most importantly, we want to help you put your talents to use in the Norwegian job market. How you can find your spot to contribute with your talents? As anywhere, finding that dream job is not easy. Oslo International Welcome Center is also a connecting point for companies and highly skilled internationals and migrants in Oslo.

We operate as an info center with services to make sure the whole process of integration into Norwegian society and business network will go as smooth as possible. Social events, workshops, seminars, presentations on a regular basis are organized to make expats feel welcomed, included and successful.

We are offering you:
Advice – we will try to help you. Come visit in our opening hours by registering and getting a time slot for individual consultation physically or online, and advice on a variety of daily living issues. Follow this link and fill in the form.

Peer mentoring – come to our weekly Friday mingle, every Friday 15.30-17.30 at International House

Rental – Use a subsidized desk at International house renting by the hour/day/month – and start your own business. We will provide you information on how to obtain a trade license for a start up. Check more info at www.oscarsgate27.no

Network – Overview of networks and groups for newly arrived. We use our social network channels for sharing knowledge and networking.

Events – Our events are published on our Facebook-page, please click on the link and follow us. You will find networking events, including seminars and leisure activities.

Oslo Welcome Week 31st August – 4th September

Oslo Welcome Week is happening for the third year running, though mostly digital due to Covid-19. The week consist of Roundtables, Fireplace chats, seminars and not the least a pre-launch with politicians’ debate, launching the Oslo International Welcome Center. All events center on how the Oslo Region best can welcome international professionals. .

As part of this events, we will host the official Pre-Launch of Oslo International Welcome Center on Friday 4th September from 13.30h to 15.30h with the International target group on a Round table discussion.
